The Gaming Floor
Our casino sits inside the Coventry Building Society Arena on Judds Lane, CV6 6GE. The venue is part of a much bigger complex, so it helps to know that before you arrive. We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the only closure on Christmas Day. Live table games usually run from 12:00 to 04:00 on Sunday through Thursday, and until 05:00 on Friday and Saturday. Slots and electronic terminals stay available over longer hours than the live tables.
On the main floor you will find the usual mix for a full-service UK casino. Roulette is offered as traditional live tables and as electronic terminals, so you can choose between a slower, social game or quicker spins on a screen. Blackjack tables sit close to the poker room, which handles both regular cash games and scheduled tournaments during the year.
| Game Category | Format Available |
|---|---|
| Roulette | Live table and electronic terminals |
| Blackjack | Live dealer tables |
| Poker | Cash games and tournaments |
| Slot Machines | Cleopatra, Lucky Lady’s Charm and others |
Popular slot titles on our floor include Cleopatra and Lucky Lady’s Charm, both of which you will recognise from other UK land-based venues. Electronic roulette terminals are handy if you prefer a faster pace and less waiting for the dealer to spin. Quite a few of our regulars quietly prefer playing that way.
The Goliath Poker Tournament
Outside Coventry, we are best known for Goliath. It is billed as the largest live poker tournament in the world outside Las Vegas, and we host it right here in the arena complex. It is a large claim but it really does draw players from across the UK and from overseas each year.
Our poker room is set up to cope with that kind of traffic. We have the table capacity, the trained team and the tournament structure to support an event on that scale. When Goliath is not running, the room switches back to a steady calendar of cash games and smaller scheduled tournaments.
If you are planning a trip mainly for poker, it is worth speaking to our team in advance. Call us on +44 2476 684747 and we can confirm current tournament dates, buy-in levels and how registration works on the day.
Planning Your First Visit
The arena layout can surprise people on their first visit, as the casino is just one part of a larger site. A few practical points usually make that first trip smoother.
- Aim to travel via the A444. Once you turn into the Coventry Building Society Arena, the casino entrance is signposted within the complex.
- Use the arena car park. Parking is free for casino customers, but only once you have had your ticket validated at reception.
- Bring valid photo ID with you. We operate a strict over-18s only policy and may ask to see it even if you think you obviously look older.
- On your first visit, check in at reception so we can register you. Our team will explain any membership or loyalty steps at that point.
- If table games are the main reason for your visit, ask reception to confirm the live gaming schedule when you arrive, as live dealer hours do not always match general venue access times.
- Before you walk back to your car, remember to collect your validated parking ticket from reception so you are not paying standard arena charges.
One extra tip that applies to most casinos: try to arrive a little earlier than you think you need to. Finding parking, registering, and getting your bearings in a new building almost always takes a few minutes longer than planned.
The DoubleTree by Hilton hotel is directly alongside the casino within the same overall complex. Guests staying there can reach us via an internal route without coming back through the main arena car park entrance, which makes the journey in noticeably simpler.
